Frequently Asked Questions

When was Furious Web Design founded?

Furious Web Design was founded by Mark Fury in November of 2015, though was known as Furious Marketing up until June 2017.

What does Furious Web Design specialise in?

Furious Web Design specialises in building cost effective websites for small to mid sized businesses. We pride ourselves on taking care of the technical side of things and walking our clients through the web design process step by step, so they don’t only have a website that looks good, though a website that is search engine optimised and intuitive to the end user.

Where is Furious Web Design based?

Furious Web Design is based at Ellen Grove (next to Forest Lake) in Brisbane, Australia. We are a home based business and work with other home based businesses (graphic designers, copywriters), which allows us to build websites for a fraction of what the marketing agencies charge.

How can I get in contact with Furious Web Design?

Please fill out the form on our contact us page and we will get back to you as soon as possible. You can alternatively call Mark on 0478 189 995.

How long does it take you to build a website?

This varies depending on the scope of the project and how quickly all of the required information is provided to us, though a basic business website can be completed in as little as 2 weeks.

Please contact us to discuss the time required to build your website.

Do you Search Engine Optimise websites?

Yes, search engine optimisation is an integral part of the web design process. We will optimise each page on your website, targeting keywords that are relevant to your business. We will provide you with tips for writing search engine optimised content, or you can alternatively use our copywriter.

We will also sign you up for Google Webmaster Tools, submit an XML sitemap for you and set up Google Analytics, so you can see who is visiting your website.

We also use tools such as Google PageSpeed and GTmetrix throughout the web design process, to ensure that your website is as fast and responsive as possible. This process involves resizing and optimising provided images as necessary.

Did you know that there are over 200 factors that affect your websites ranking in Google? It is important to remember that SEO is not a once off activity, it is an ongoing process.

One of the biggest factors is your website content and how often the website is updated, which is why we recommend having a blog and making a post every few weeks. We will install a handy plugin for you, which will assist you with optimising your written content.

Are your websites optimised for mobiles and tablets?

Yes! We usually build responsive websites, meaning that the website adjusts itself according to the size of the display viewing it. This ensures that your websites content can easily be seen across all devices, whether viewed on a desktop or laptop computer, or a mobile phone or tablet.

What information do I need to provide you with, when wanting a website?

    Hosting / Domain Name Details

We offer website hosting and domain names, though if you decide to go with a different provider, we will need to be provided with your hosting / domain name provider login details.

A list of pages that you would like created

We will also need to be provided with a list of pages that you would like created (e.g. Home, About us, Contact us).

    Page Content

We will need to be provided with written content for each page on your website. We recommend at least 300 words per page, as search engines don’t look favourably on pages with little content. We can alternatively have our copywriter write this content for you, for a reasonable fee.

    Logo / Images

If your business has a logo or you have any images that you would like for us to use, these will need to be provided to us. We highly recommend getting a logo made if you don’t already have one, and can assist you with purchasing reasonably priced stock images, if you don’t have many images of your own.

    Other Special Requirements

If you would like any additional functionality added to the website, it is best that you let us know upfront, so we can factor this into the quote.

We will of course be in regular contact with you throughout the web design process.

How can I pay for my website? Is a deposit required?

Our preferred payment method is direct deposit. We require a 50% deposit prior to starting work on your website, with the remaining 50% being paid upon completion of the website.
